GLADIUS — DECENTRALIZED WAY OF COMBATING AGAINST DDOS ATAK

Gladius aims to provide comfort and convenience of using traditional protection services, packed in an easy-to-use interface with powerful insight tools. With Gladius, everyone can protect and speed up their website.
There are several elements of the Gladius ecosystem, including:
Gladius desktop client: you charge for network bandwidth and earn Gladius tokens.
The Gladius web portal: monitoring attacks and using bandwidth, and getting information about your traffic, all from an easy-to-use web portal.
Gladius network pools: view the market and select a pool,
which matches your budget, location and availability.
Using these systems, Gladius allows anyone to protect and speed up the operation of their website. You can rely on a decentralized network to protect your online service from DDoS attacks.
From the point of view of payment, the owner of the website pays the pool manager through a smart-
Contract . Then the funds are distributed among the members of this pool (s) through a smart contract. The percentage of payment depends on the manager and bandwidth. A small amount of payments goes to support the Gladius network.
DDoS attacks are increasingly becoming a problem for any online business.
A Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack can lead to the fact that in a few minutes the site, online service or ICO will kneel down. This leads to a loss of money, a loss of consumer confidence and a PR crisis.
Gladius wants to solve this problem using a decentralized solution.
This decentralized solution allows users to defend themselves against DDoS attacks. Users can use Gladius to connect to “protection pools” near their location.
Gladius aims to offer users an easy-to-use interface and powerful insight tools,
allowing anyone to protect and speed up the operation of their website.
The Gladius network has two main goals: to reduce the time for content downloading for websites (allowing websites to select servers at specific geographic locations) and to eliminate the threat of DDoS attacks (using a decentralized network instead of centralized servers,
which are easy to navigate).
The sale of Gladius tokens is held during October and November. The platform is scheduled to launch in beta form in early November, with a full release scheduled for March 2018. The preliminary sale of Gladius began on October 15 and ended on October 31.
The main sale started on November 1 and ends on November 23 During the first 24 hours,
price 1 ETH = 600 GLA tokens. By the end of the crowdsdale, the price will rise to 1 ETH = 500 GLA tokens.
Of the total number of tokens broken by interest:
· 60% planned for public release
· 20% reserved for operations
· 10% for founders
· 10% for the team
The total stock is 96.3 million GLA tokens.
The main advantages of Gladius:
Help businesses grow in size safely: businesses can easily scale their protection by moving to a new protection pool.
Examine the transactions: every transaction is public, so you know if you get a good deal.
Manage Gladius tokens: check the balance,
buy tokens and get them through your online wallet.
Remove bandwidth: most Internet connections are not used most of the time. Gladius allows users to monetize their unused or underused Internet connections by running the Gladius node.
Creating pools. You can create pools,
set prices, manage sites and earn money, offering the best service for companies seeking protection from DDoS.
Accelerate the content. Accelerate access to your site by caching static content next to each client. Gladius allows you to choose a geographic location for each pool.
Stop DDoS attacks: Gladius stops DDoS attacks before they approach your server.
Visualize queries: see the real-time traffic location, the amount of traffic your site receives, and the current speeds, among other real-time traffic data.
Gladius was formed in early 2017 as a team of students from the University of Maryland College Park. The founding group includes Maxim Nibirsky, the original founder, Alexander Godwin, co-founder, and Marcelo MacAndrew, co-founder.
